FRANCOPHONIE FESTIVAL – MOROCCAN STALL
The Annual Francophonie Festival, hosted by Alliance Française took place over the
weekend, on Saturday, 18 March. The Consulate of the Kingdom of Morocco in Eswatini
was invited to have a stall at the event and had a food stall that not only gave locals a taste of Moroccan cuisine, but also provided information to all who were interested in finding out more about travel to Morocco, as well as the available opportunities for students.
The event was well attended by local French speakers, students from various institutions, artists, and a diverse range of individuals who came to enjoy what the festival had to offer. The event was also covered by the local newspapers, and our stall was visited by the planners of the largest festival Eswatini, who expressed that they would like Moroccan food to be served at their event.
Her Excellency Mrs. Mona Ashraff, the Honorary Consul General of the Kingdom of Morocco in the Kingdom of Eswatini, was there to personally represent the Kingdom of Morocco. Though exhausted, Her Excellency and her team were proud to have represented Morocco and been a part of the festival.
