On the 19th of November 2021 Eswatini saw her first Honorary Consulate of the Kingdom of Morocco. Ms. Mona Ashraff was appointed the position in the presence of Ambassador Youssef Amrani for Morocco in South Africa. This relationship between Eswatini and Morocco intends to birth a solid relationship that will the see the two countries working together to develop each other.
Speaking on the occasion of the opening of this consulate Ambassador Youssef Amrani stressed that this opening comes as Morocco celebrates the 66th anniversary of Independence Day, welcoming the fraternal links between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Kingdom of Eswatini and excellent cooperation relations at the bilateral and multilateral level. He also highlighted the many opportunities for cooperation between the two countries in different fields, in line with Morocco’s African policy, drawn up by His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco also underlined the convergence of points of view between the two countries and the common challenges they face, in the context of building a prosperous Africa, for the benefit of the peoples of the continent. In this regard, he welcomed the constant and fair position of the Kingdom of eSwatini in support of the territorial integrity of Morocco.
